Welcome to Le Cedre, a charming Lebanese restaurant nestled in the heart of Zurich at Nuschelerstrasse 31. This culinary gem captures the vibrant essence of Lebanese cuisine, tantalizing your taste buds with authentic flavors and warm hospitality. Whether you're a local or visiting this beautiful Swiss city, Le Cedre invites you to indulge in a true Lebanese dining experience that promises to transport you straight to the shores of the Mediterranean.
As you step inside, the cozy ambiance welcomes you, setting the perfect backdrop for an evening of gastronomic delight. The menu features an array of delectable dishes, ranging from classic mezze such as hummus and baba ganoush to hearty grilled meats and kafta. Customers often rave about the freshness and rich flavors that define each plate, highlighting the chefs' commitment to quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods.
However, it's worth noting that reviews showcase a mix of experiences. While some diners are enchanted by the lively atmosphere and the generous portions — likening it to one of the best Lebanese eateries in town — others have expressed concerns about portion sizes and service inconsistencies. For example, one guest found the meze portions insufficient for four people, while another appreciated the accommodating nature of the staff. It’s a tapestry of feedback that illustrates both the promise and potential challenges of dining at Le Cedre.
The prices at Le Cedre are considered reasonable given Zurich's dining landscape, making it accessible to both enthusiasts of Lebanese cuisine and those new to it. While some dishes might seem on the pricier side, particularly the mezze, the overall value remains commendable. The venue also proudly serves halal options, catering to a diverse clientele and emphasizing inclusivity in its dining offerings.
Among the highlights, the mixed grill platter and shawarma have emerged as crowd favorites, often praised for their bold flavors and satisfying portions. Whether you're craving a taste of tender grilled meats or flavorful dips, Le Cedre delivers with flair. Make sure to book your table in advance, as this cozy spot has become a beloved locale for both intimate dinners and gatherings with friends.
In conclusion, Le Cedre stands as a testament to Lebanese culinary artistry right in Zurich. With a few areas for improvement, particularly in service and portion sizes, the restaurant has the potential to elevate its status even higher. For those seeking an authentic taste of Lebanon, Le Cedre remains a worthwhile destination, where every meal is an invitation to explore the rich tapestry of flavors that define this beloved cuisine.

The food was delicious but the portions for 4 people were very small. We ordered meze and did not even get Fattouche. The waitress was not having a good day apparently as she was cold and unfriendly. There are many areas to improve to raise this place to higher standards. The red wine was also terrible. Prices were acceptable. Won’t be coming back when we crave Lebanese food.

Thanks for giving us a true Lebanese dining experience We ordered a kafta dish, a mixed grill dish, and Hummus with minced meat. The staff was amazing in accommodating our every request. We also met the chef One of the best things is that they serve halal food. If you are in Zurich, you have to stop by.

Yummy place with very nice decorations added very tasty food .. we arrived little early and waited for it to be opened but it was worthy of wait … we took the meet shawarma and the tikka plate and i advise it .. my only note is that fries and rice should be coming with the meal not to be ordered as side dishes as it making it extra expensive

La Cèdre combines delicious Lebanese food with fair prices — at least by Zurich standards. It’s a cosy spot with a lively, mixed crowd that gives the place a welcoming vibe. The menu offers authentic flavours and generous portions, making it one of the better Lebanese options in town. It’s a small restaurant, though, so booking ahead is definitely a good idea.

A cozy Lebanese spot serving authentic mezze (hummus, baba ganoush) and grilled meats. Fresh, flavorful, and generous portions. Friendly service, though slightly pricey, specially the mezze. Great for a taste of Lebanon in Zurich.

Le Cèdre in Zürich is a true gem for lovers of authentic Lebanese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by warm, rustic décor, exposed brick walls, soft lantern lighting, and colorful cushions that instantly transport you to the Levant The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy intimacy and lively conviviality, making it an ideal spot for date nights, family dinners, or gatherings with friends. Service at Le Cèdre is consistently outstanding. The staff are knowledgeable about every dish, attentive without being overbearing, and happy to make personalized recommendations. They’ll gladly guide you through the menu’s highlights or help you pair your meal with one of their carefully selected Lebanese wines or refreshing mint-infused drinks. Start your meal with the mezze sampler: velvety hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, zesty tabbouleh, and crisp falafel, all expertly seasoned and beautifully presented. The sharable platters are equally impressive; we especially loved the mixed grill featuring tender lamb kafta, marinated chicken tawook, and perfectly spiced beef skewers. Don’t miss the freshly baked pita bread, served warm at your table, or the signature rice pilaf enriched with nuts and aromatic spices. Desserts are a delight, too rosewater baklava offers the perfect balance of flaky pastry and sweet syrup, and a pot of mint tea brings the meal to a light, fragrant close. With its authentic flavors, impeccable service, and charming ambiance, Le Cèdre is a standout dining destination in Zürich. Whether you’re a Middle Eastern food aficionado or simply seeking a memorable dinner experience, this restaurant will exceed your expectations. Highly recommended!
